The Next American President

I’m going to assume that the tide of American public sentiment is going to disallow Donnie from a third term. That assumption is based on that same sentiment also disallowing him to rig the midterms, or pull some emergency declaration stunt out of his deplorable handbag.

So, with that assumption in place I have a question. Who in their right mind wants to lead the cleanup crew required for the après Don era of America? The only advantage I can think of in assuming the position would be a genuine ability to blame all your problems on the previous administration.

I suppose that if the midterms go off as anticipated and the Republicans are electorally punished for enabling Dementadon that there is some possibility that a Democratic house and perhaps Senate can clean up some of the mess over the next two years.

But I doubt it.

Not because the investigative committee’s won’t make an effort. But I think that their effectiveness is going to be limited by three factors. The first is how slowly everything moves through the courts and all branches of American governing. The second reason is speculative, but I think it’s reasonable speculation given what is already known about how the current administration governs, and the people in place doing the governing. The second reason is kind of like removing drywall after a flood and understanding what other damage you’re dealing with.

I think it’s probable that once the investigative committee’s get rolling, that they’re going to get an education on how deep the rot has permeated American infrastructure. And because of those inevitable discoveries I think that the clean up crew is going to have to generate a second estimate of the time and effort to repair America.

To make things even more interesting we mustn’t forget the third hindrance to effective oversight. Namely, that the Democrats and any Republicans who see a political advantage from abandoning MAGA, will be faced with a petulant dementia president. A lame duck wallowing in his reflecting pool, staring at his unfinished vanity projects and contemplating how to fuck over anyone who hurts his feelings. And I’ve got to say that if there’s any characteristic about Donnie that might be called marginally notable, it’s his endurance. It doesn’t matter how many times he’s kicked in the nuts, he still soldiers on. He’s like cancer that just keeps reappearing until he destroys whatever environment he inhabits. So, it doesn’t matter how many fuck ups he’s created or how many fuck ups he’s surrounded himself with. There’s always someone or something else he can bring to the game to lower the sanity bar. Like his election fraud delusion and his monopoly style get out of jail free pardons, which are most certainly coming.

Pardons. Sweet Jesus, someone best add that to the list of presidential powers that need a rethink. In fact the Americans should enact a new amendment to their constitution. An abuse clause. The prick wants something named after him, so how about a clause that triggers impeachment for mass domestic abuse? Because that’s all the legacy Dementadon deserves. Thirteen year old Epstein girls, the military, the economy, the rule of law, dignity, honor, reputation and intelligence. All of them degraded and abused. Basically everything his fat fingers have touched has has been made unclean.

The 28th amendment would be a fine idea. The DJT act. Fuck the supreme court and their immunity. Pass a law and go around those assholes, where the people of America actually enforce the application of law regardless of what station a citizen holds.

I’m getting agitated, but it’s frustrating to watch a mental case lie rape and pillage in plain view, with no method available to drag his fat ass from the white house to the big house.

Anyway I’ll try to get back on topic.

I’m not sure exactly how the house and senate even begin to sort out their repair priorities. It’s likely they’re going to start with the economy because that’s what the voters will demand. America’s reputation with the rest of the world can wait. The initial focus will be how to lower gas and grocery prices, and that’s going to be challenging considering that tariffs even if removed won’t be enough to reinstate trust with trading partners. Ex-partners to be more specific, who have found new countries to conduct business. And to lower gas prices, someone other than Pete is going to have to sort out how to end fucknuts Iran adventure.

Maybe they can bring Obama out of retirement and he can lead a delegation to renegotiate with Iran. I’m sure that idea would be well received by Dementadon.

Meanwhile the investigative committee’s are going to have their hands full dealing with the grift and incompetence from every corner of the executive branch. Also I would recommend a sub-committee who’s only task is to look into the extended Trump family. Every single one of them. Next up would be a task force to investigate anyone who engaged in payola with the president and his cabinet. Oil companies, media companies, tech bro’s, and anyone else who greased the fat bastard.

As long as Donnie remains anywhere other than in prison, any attempts to treat America will be hindered by the toxins still being active. I’m hoping he’s not like forever chemicals in the water system, but I can’t shake this feeling that PFA’S actually stands for pervasive fat asshole and sons.

Any new leadership is going to have to institute an aggressive treatment schedule, but regardless of the effectiveness of the curative actions, I think the best America can hope for is remission. And for the rest of it’s life America is going to need routine check ups to make sure the disease that is Donald Trump hasn’t reappeared.

The Christian nationalists will need to be radiated. The billionaires likely require precise surgery, and the rest of the country is going to need weekly immunotherapy if America is to recover.

And there’s going to be a price that has to be paid. Because healthcare in America isn’t free. I remain hopeful that once America begins to recover, that some of her old friends and allies will return to provide care while she’s in an immunocompromised state.

But the secondary injury inflicted by agent orange is going to take some time to forgive and longer to forget. Entire nations have been harmed and the collateral damage is another job that a new administration is going to have to deal with if there’s any hope of those nations providing some assistance during an American recovery period.

So yeah.

After Don is going to be rough. I hope the patient survives, and the right political medicine and treatment is available and administered effectively.
